The NEDA Travels’’ Journey Tracks the Development Project for Route 11 (R11) - Krok Khao Do - Ban Non Savan - Sanakham - Ban Wang - Ban Nam Sang Route

            On December 8, 2023, Mr. Kirati Veruwan, Vice President of the Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (NEDA), and representatives of the NEDA, along with Mr. Phitsaphonh Philavong, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Road Transport and the group, as well as consultants and construction operators, traveled to monitor the development progress of Route 11 (R11)—Krok Khao Do - Ban Non Savan - Sanakham - Ban Wang - Ban Nam Sang Route at Vientiane Province, Lao PDR. The described project is a financial cooperation project between the NEDA and the Lao PDR as a loan totaling 1,826,500,000 baht that is anticipated to be completed by the end of November 2023. The project has been finished and is now under the guarantee period of work.

The visit, at the invitation of the AIIB, aimed to discuss collaborative approaches for financial assistance in developing infrastructure within the Mekong sub-region and to exchange visions for infrastructure development in the area.
