NEDA Partners with JICA to Exchange Economic Data, Exploring Development Directions for Neighbouring Countries and Future Cooperation Approaches in Vientiane, Lao PDR

VIENTIANE, 23 JULY 2026— Mr. Kirati Veruwan, Vice President of the Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (Public Organization) (NEDA), led a delegation of NEDA representatives to attend a discussion meeting with Ms. Miyako KOBAYASHI, Chief Representative of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Laos Office, in Vientiane, Lao PDR. The meeting was held to exchange economic insights, as well as key development policies and directions for neighbouring countries. Both sides also jointly considered cooperation approaches to promote the future development of the Lao PDR, aiming to strengthen economic stability and sustainably elevate the quality of life for local citizens, while defining joint activities and directions that both parties are prepared to implement together in the future.
