The achievement evaluation to close Road Construction Project from Ban Huak

On 20th August 2019, Mr. Kirati Veruwan, Vice President of Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (NEDA) along with the representatives from the Department of Roads travelled to close Road Construction Project which started from Ban Huak (Payao province) – Khob city – Chiang Hon city and Khob city – Ban Kon Tuan at Xaignabouli and Bokeo, Lao PDR. All information was gathered, and the achievement of the project was also evaluated by the survey asking the opinions of the people in the area about life improvement and benefits received from the construction of the route connecting transportation.

On April 3, 2024, Mr. Perames Vudthitornetiraks, President of the Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (NEDA), and his delegation visited Mr. Jin Liqun, President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) in Beijing, People’’s Republic of China. The visit, at the invitation of the AIIB, aimed to discuss collaborative approaches for financial assistance in developing infrastructure within the Mekong sub-region and to exchange visions for infrastructure development in the area.
