NEDA attended a meeting with the Ministry of Finance of Lao PDR in Marrakech, Kingdom of Morocco.

                Mr. Phattharakorn Karapim, Director of the Neighboring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (NEDA) and Mr. Keerati Weluwan, Deputy Director attended the meeting with the Ministry of Finance, Lao PDR. It was led by H.E. Santiphab Phomvihane, Minister of Finance, with a delegation to discuss future cooperation between the Lao PDR and NEDA, including reporting on the status of ongoing projects and any issues and obstacles. Additionally, they discussed the current economic situation in Lao PDR including guidelines for public debt management and policies for solving the problem of weak currency rates, inflation problems, and public debt problems during the annual meeting of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund's Council of Governors in 2023 on October 12, 2022 at the conference room AM 2023; BCCRs; C09-002, Marrakech, Kingdom of Morocco.

On April 3, 2024, Mr. Perames Vudthitornetiraks, President of the Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (NEDA), and his delegation visited Mr. Jin Liqun, President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) in Beijing, People’’s Republic of China. The visit, at the invitation of the AIIB, aimed to discuss collaborative approaches for financial assistance in developing infrastructure within the Mekong sub-region and to exchange visions for infrastructure development in the area.
