NEDA attends the 6th NEDA-JICA Annual Meeting in Tokyo, Japan

On April 9, 2025, Mr. Perames Vudthitornetiraks, President of the Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (NEDA), along with the NEDA delegation, participated in the 6th Annual Meeting between NEDA and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) at JICA's headquarters in Tokyo, Japan. This annual event has been held consistently, with JICA acting as the host for this year's meeting, led by Mr. HAYAKAWA Yuho, Director General of the Southeast Asia and Pacific Department at JICA.  

During this year’s meeting, both sides engaged in discussions regarding the direction of development policies and exchanged information on ongoing cooperation efforts in the Mekong Sub-region. They also explored ways to initiate integrated cooperation projects for future development in Bhutan and Timor-Leste. Furthermore, the meeting focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation in sharing knowledge on sustainable development policies, particularly those addressing social and environmental development, as well as strategies to combat the impacts of climate change.
