NEDA President joined a bilateral discussion with ADB Timor - Leste Resident Mission

On May 5, 2025, NEDA delegation, led by Mr. Kirati Veruwan, NEDA Vice President, had a bilateral discussion with MS. Stefania Dina, Country Director of ADB Timor - Leste Resident Mission (TLRM). Both sides exchanged views on Timor - Leste economy, as well as explored potential future collaboration between NEDA and ADB particularly in Capacity Building programs, focusing on enhancing Timor-Leste's operational efficiency. Furthermore, NEDA also shared an update on the progress of the Renovation of the Community Maternal and Child Health Center Project. The discussion took place during the 58th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Asian Development Bank at Allianz Milan Convention Center, Milan, Republic of Italy.

Signing of the Letter of Intent between the Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (NEDA) and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB)
On February 27, 2025, Mr. Perames Vudthitornetiraks, President of the Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (NEDA), signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Mr. Rodrigo Salvado, Director General of the Operational Partnership Department, representing the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) during the Finance in Common Summit 2025 (FiCS 2025) in Cape Town, Republic of South Africa. The LOI serves as a framework outlining the cooperation between NEDA and AIIB in sustainable infrastructure development, aiming to advance regional development in alignment with the goals of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The cooperation is set within a five-year operational framework to drive long-term, impactful development initiatives.

Additionally, the NEDA President discussed with AFD representatives for the preparations of NEDA’s Board of Director visit to AFD’s headquarters in Paris, France, scheduled for March 2025.
