NEDA organized Study Visit for Cambodian delegation titled “Hydro-floating Solar Hybrid Project” at Sirindhorn Dam, Sirindhorn District, Ubon Ratchathani Province

On 22 May 2025, the Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (Public Organization) (NEDA), led by Mr. Rapipit Promnart, Director of the Policy and Planning Bureau, facilitated a site visit for delegates from the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) and the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME) of the Kingdom of Cambodia to a Hydro-floating Solar Hybrid at Sirindhorn Dam, Sirindhorn District, Ubon Ratchathani Province. The visit formed part of the Study Visit on “Renewable Energy Development in Thailand.”

The purpose of the visit was to study and gain insights about renewable energy-based electricity generation through a floating solar farm and a hydropower plant, which enable hybrid electricity production using both solar and hydropower sources. The visit also provided an opportunity to exchange views with the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) on the management of clean energy production, with the aim of supporting Cambodia’s future renewable energy development. The delegation was warmly welcomed and guided by Mr. Arthit Pornkuna, Chief of Sirindhorn Hydro Power Plant Department at Sirindhorn Dam, along with relevant officials.
