NEDA joins in a route survey and a conference to check on an Inception Report about the survey and the detailed design of Two-Lane Road Improvement Project

During 4-5 April 2019 at Republic of the Union of Myanmar; Colonel Saranyu Viriyavejakul, D.Sc., Vice President of NEDA and others joined in a route survey and a conference to check on an Inception Report about the survey and the detailed design of Two-Lane Road Improvement Project connecting Dawei Special Economic Zone and Thailand – Myanmar Border, with the representative from Ministry of Construction, the Republic of the Union of Myanmar led by H.E. Ohn Lwin, Director General, Department of Highway. The Two-Lane Road Improvement Project is a part of Dawei Special Economic Zone Development Project and the relevant project area of Myanmar as a door for trading on the western side of the region and the connection of development from east coast area in Thailand to Myanmar.

On April 3, 2024, Mr. Perames Vudthitornetiraks, President of the Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (NEDA), and his delegation visited Mr. Jin Liqun, President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) in Beijing, People’’s Republic of China. The visit, at the invitation of the AIIB, aimed to discuss collaborative approaches for financial assistance in developing infrastructure within the Mekong sub-region and to exchange visions for infrastructure development in the area.
