NEDA Led the Delegates from Cambodia on a Study Visit to Biogas Power Plant in Phu Pha Man District, Khon Kaen Province

On 20 May 2025, the Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (Public Organization) (NEDA), led by Mr. Rapipit Promnart, Director of the Policy and Planning Bureau, facilitated a site visit for delegates from the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) and the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME) of the Kingdom of Cambodia to a Biogas Power Plant in Phu Pha Man District, Khon Kaen Province. The visit formed part of the Study Visit on “Renewable Energy Development in Thailand.”

The objective of the visit was to study and gain insights about the management of renewable energy power plants through a community-based model. This includes job creation for local communities by purchasing energy crops, understanding the production input process, and learning about the operational control of electricity generation from energy crops. The delegation was warmly welcomed and guided by Mr. Chaiyot Chunwijitra, Chief Asset Management Officer of UAC Global Public Company Limited (UAC Global).
