Ms. Sukuma Sarahong, Director of the Communications Bureau and representative of the Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (Public Organization) (NEDA), extended congratulations to the “E-Jan” news page on the occasion of its 10th anniversary and made a financial donation to the E-Jan Foundation in support of the “Special Education School Construction Project, Thong Pha Phum” (Special Education Center, Kanchanaburi Province, Thong Pha Phum Service Unit). The project aims to provide services to children with special needs in four districts: Thong Pha Phum, Sai Yok, Si Sawat, and Sangkhla Buri. The donation was received by Mr. Pichit Sukpaita, Chairman of the Executive Board, at NT AUDITORIUM, Building 9, 2nd Floor, National Telecommunications Public Company Limited, on 25 November 2025.

On November 26, 2025, Mr. Rapipit Promnart, Director of the Policy and Planning Bureau, together with analysts from the Policy and Planning Bureau, Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (NEDA), attended the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) Development Partners’ Meeting held at the Shangri-La Bangkok.

Colonel (Ret.) Saranyu Viriyavejakul, D.Sc., Vice President of the Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (Public Organization) (NEDA), together with senior executives, attended the Fifteen-Day Royal Merit-Making Ceremony in dedication to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, The Queen Mother. The ceremony was presided over by Mr. Lavaron Sangsnit, Permanent Secretary for Finance, on 7 November 2025 at the Ministry of Finance’’s 150th Anniversary Building.

On 11 November 2025, Mr. Kirati Veruwan, Vice President of the Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (Public Organization) (NEDA), joined a Joint Mission with Mr. Toshiaki Keich, Manager, Sector Clients Department, Region 1, AIIB, alongside representatives from the Department of Water Supply, Ministry of Public Works and Transport of the Lao PDR, led by Mr. Viengnam Doungphachanh, Director General of the Department, as well as representatives from the Ministry of Finance of the Lao PDR. The mission aimed to explore cooperation frameworks for advancing essential infrastructure in water supply and wastewater management in the Lao PDR and to pursue co-financing modalities between NEDA and AIIB to enhance service quality in the water system sector. Discussions also included capacity-building and training on water supply system maintenance, and assessment of government personnel development needs in the Lao PDR for the purpose of designing training curricula aligned with national requirements.

On 12 November 2025, Mr. Kirati Veruwan, Vice President of the Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (Public Organization) (NEDA), and his delegation attended a consultation and knowledge-exchange meeting on tourism development in southern Lao PDR and explored collaborative opportunities for sustainable tourism advancement in Champasak Province, a region with high potential for economic and tourism-driven growth. The meeting was held with the Education and Tourism Sector Team, led by Mr. Akira Ohara, Project Manager, DMO & Tourism Development, Ingerosec Japan, to promote sustainable tourism development in the Lao PDR in accordance with the standards of the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC), which serves as an international benchmark ensuring environmental, social, and economic sustainability in tourism management.

Bangkok, 12 November 2025 — At the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Chak Boon-long, Distinguished Board Member, together with Mr. Perames Vudthitornetiraks, President of the Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (Public Organization) (NEDA), participated in a working lunch with Mr. Sihasak Puangketkaew, Minister of Foreign Affairs. The discussion aimed to exchange information and integrate development cooperation efforts with neighboring countries, during which participants shared views on the current situation, opportunities, and challenges in implementing development missions in the CLMV countries, namely Cambodia, the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Myanmar, and Viet Nam. On this occasion, NEDA presented an overview of its ongoing operations and received policy directions and recommendations from the Minister of Foreign Affairs to be used as guidance for NEDA’s operational planning, ensuring coherence and alignment in support of the Government’s policy objectives.
