On 12 November 2025, Mr. Kirati Veruwan, Vice President of the Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (Public Organization) (NEDA), and his delegation attended a consultation and knowledge-exchange meeting on tourism development in southern Lao PDR and explored collaborative opportunities for sustainable tourism advancement in Champasak Province, a region with high potential for economic and tourism-driven growth. The meeting was held with the Education and Tourism Sector Team, led by Mr. Akira Ohara, Project Manager, DMO & Tourism Development, Ingerosec Japan, to promote sustainable tourism development in the Lao PDR in accordance with the standards of the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC), which serves as an international benchmark ensuring environmental, social, and economic sustainability in tourism management.

Bangkok, 12 November 2025 — At the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Chak Boon-long, Distinguished Board Member, together with Mr. Perames Vudthitornetiraks, President of the Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (Public Organization) (NEDA), participated in a working lunch with Mr. Sihasak Puangketkaew, Minister of Foreign Affairs. The discussion aimed to exchange information and integrate development cooperation efforts with neighboring countries, during which participants shared views on the current situation, opportunities, and challenges in implementing development missions in the CLMV countries, namely Cambodia, the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Myanmar, and Viet Nam. On this occasion, NEDA presented an overview of its ongoing operations and received policy directions and recommendations from the Minister of Foreign Affairs to be used as guidance for NEDA’s operational planning, ensuring coherence and alignment in support of the Government’s policy objectives.

Bangkok, 29 October 2025 — At Sun Towers Building, Mr. Perames Vudthitornetiraks, President of the Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (Public Organization) (NEDA), led the Agency’s executives and staff in a ceremony to pay tribute and sign the book of condolences in remembrance of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, The Queen Mother. The ceremony was held to humbly honor Her Majesty’s immeasurable royal grace and to express profound respect and eternal remembrance.

Bangkok, 23 October 2025 — At the Plaza of the Royal Equestrian Statue of His Majesty King Chulalongkorn (Rama V) at the Ministry of Finance, Mr. Phatthrakorn Karaphim, Director of Legal Affairs of the Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (Public Organization) (NEDA), represented the Agency in leading NEDA officials to participate in the annual wreath-laying ceremony on the occasion of Chulalongkorn Day. The ceremony was held to pay homage, express loyalty, and commemorate the boundless royal benevolence of His Majesty King Chulalongkorn the Great, whose contributions remain deeply revered by the Thai people.
