NEDA Holds Consultative Meeting with the Ministry of Finance of Bhutan in Samarkand, Republic of Uzbekistan

SAMARKAND, May 6, 2026 — The Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (Public Organization), led by Colonel (Ret.) Saranyu Viriyavejakul, Vice President and Acting Director of NEDA, and Mr. Rapipit Promnart, NEDA’s Director of the Policy and Planning Bureau, held a consultative meeting with H.E. Lyonpo Lekey Dorji, Minister of Finance of the Kingdom of Bhutan (Bhutan), along with relevant officials. The meeting took place during the 59th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Asian Development Bank in Samarkand, Republic of Uzbekistan.

On this occasion, both sides discussed approaches to promoting development cooperation in sectors of mutual potential, particularly in clean energy, infrastructure, and sustainable development. They also exchanged information regarding financial and technical cooperation approaches, as well as project implementation processes under the relevant regulations of both countries. Furthermore, both sides discussed opportunities to expand future cooperation and agreed to continue coordinating closely with relevant agencies to drive practical cooperation and achieve long-term mutual benefits.
