On 9 September 2025, Mr. Rapipit Promnart, Director of Policy and Planning Bureau, represented the Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (Public Organization) (NEDA) in a meeting with Ms. J.M.S.D. Rathnayake, Director General of the National Planning Department (NPD), Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development. The meeting aimed to present and receive feedback on the Country Strategy 2026–2030, including NEDA’s three strategic development pillars: (1) Cross-Border Economic Enhancement, (2) Cross-Border Social Return Initiative, and (3) Cross-Border Environmental Impact Reduction.
Both sides also discussed the formulation of a project pipeline for future cooperation under Financial Assistance (FA) and Technical Assistance (TA) between NEDA and Sri Lanka. The discussions focused on identifying potential areas of collaboration and the readiness to integrate joint efforts moving forward. The meeting took place in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
