Vientiane, 18 July 2025 — Mr. Perames Vudthitornetiraks, President of the Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (Public Organization) (NEDA), led an NEDA delegation to attend a Loan Consultation Meeting with representatives of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic (Lao PDR) regarding Thailand’s financial assistance for the Chiangman–Luang Prabang Bridge Construction Project.
The Lao delegation was led by Mrs. Phengkhiem XAYAKEO, Deputy Director General of the Department of Finance and International Cooperation, Ministry of Finance, Lao PDR. The meeting, held at the Ministry of Finance in Vientiane, discussed loan conditions and details of the draft financial assistance agreement, as well as guidelines for project operation and maintenance after completion.
The project will be implemented under the Output and Performance-Based Contract (OPBC) model, which NEDA is piloting in Lao PDR to ensure the project’s long-term sustainability.
