       Vientiane, Lao PDR, August 27, 2025 — Mr. Kirati Veruwan, Vice President of the Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (Public Organization) (NEDA), led a delegation to meet with Ms. Phengkhiem Xayakeo, Deputy Director General of the International Finance and Cooperation Department (IFCD), Ministry of Finance, Lao People’s Democratic Republic (Lao PDR). During the meeting, Mr. Kirati presented NEDA’s Midterm Plan I for 2026–2030 and the Country Strategy for 2026–2030, and the delegation exchanged views on the current economic landscape, future trends, and constructive suggestions.
       The discussion aimed to ensure that NEDA’s cooperation with the Lao PDR aligns with strategic objectives, strengthening collaborative efforts for regional development. In addition, the meeting reviewed progress in preparing financial support for Lao PDR, specifically for the Chiangman–Luang Prabang Bridge construction project, underscoring NEDA’s commitment to sustainable infrastructure development and long-term partnership with Lao authorities.
