Khammouane Province, Lao PDR, 23 January 2026 – Mr. Kirati Veruwan, Vice President of the Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (Public Organization) (NEDA), together with the delegation, met with Mr. Sysouphanh Chansavat, Deputy Director General of the Department of Roads, Ministry of Public Works and Transport, Lao PDR, along with the Head of the Department of Public Works and Transport of Khammouane Province and relevant officials, as well as the construction supervision consultants and contractors for both contracts of the Route No. 12 (R12) Improvement Project, Thakhek–Na Phao Border Crossing Section, Lao PDR.
The meeting discussed engineering challenges and obstacles, including planning guidelines to ensure that construction is completed in accordance with the work plan by early 2028 (B.E. 2571), at the meeting room of the Department of Public Works and Transport, Khammouane Province, Lao PDR.
