NEDA welcomed His Majesty the King and member of the royal family.

Colonel Ret. Saranyu Viriyavejakul, D.Sc., Vice President of Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (NEDA) and other officials attended the candle-lighting ceremony on the auspicious occasion of Her Majesty Queen Regent Sirikit, The Queen Mother’s birthday anniversary on 12 August 2020. Special volunteers also worked with the Royal Thai Volunteers School to prepare an area and facilitate people attending the ceremony, as well as welcome His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua, Her Majesty Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana and members of the royal family. This was to express their loyalty and gratitude towards The Queen Mother’s unlimited graciousness at Sanam Luang and First Army Area Head Quarter, on 12 August 2020.

On April 3, 2024, Mr. Perames Vudthitornetiraks, President of the Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (NEDA), and his delegation visited Mr. Jin Liqun, President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) in Beijing, People’’s Republic of China. The visit, at the invitation of the AIIB, aimed to discuss collaborative approaches for financial assistance in developing infrastructure within the Mekong sub-region and to exchange visions for infrastructure development in the area.
