NEDA held a meeting to discuss Potential Pipeline Projects with The Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT)

         On 10th January 2022, Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (Public Organization) (NEDA) held a meeting on Potential Pipeline Projects, to assist 3 neighboring countries, which are Cambodia, Lao PDR and Myanmar, financially and academically; and introduce Country Strategy 2022-2027, with The Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT). Mr. Rapipit Promnart, Policy and Planning Bureau Director, was a representative from NEDA to attend a discussion with Ms. Natjaree Sripech, Director of Strategic Plan Department of EGAT through Microsoft Teams online meeting. 
         The meeting aimed to present Country Strategy 2022-2027 to EGAT so, the direction of NEDA’s cooperation for development was acknowledged. The discussion was also about current situation on international energy and energy connectivity; problems and obstacles regarding international energy and alternative energy stability development between Thailand and neighboring countries; suggestions towards development policy regarding international development cooperation, which was the mechanism driving the country development in the dimension of energy and alternative energy stability development, to reduce problems and obstacles against economic and social development; the consideration of development guidelines concerning Grid Connectivity and energy cooperation, in both Bilateral Multilateral and Regional levels; and the training promotion to increase personnel’s potential in neighboring countries, in order to determine guidelines to prepare for Potential Pipeline Projects, according to Country Strategy 2022-2027, to create concrete achievement and sustainable development.
