NEDA held a bilateral meeting with the Ministry of Finance of Timor-Leste during the 56th Annual Meeting of the Asian Development Bank Council of Governors in Incheon, Republic of Korea.

On 3 May 2023,  Colonel Saranyu Viriyavejkul, Deputy Director of Neighboring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (NEDA), along with representatives consisting of Mr. Rapipit Prommanart, Director of the Policy and Planning Office and Ms. Chakriya Kathaleepan, senior policy and planning analyst and Ms. Monthicha Rakwijitkul, senior project analyst jointly discussed with H.E. Mr. Antonio Freitas, Deputy Finance Minister of Timor-Leste with senior officials from the Timor-Leste Ministry of Finance in the name of 56th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Asian Development Bank, 26th Meeting of Ministers of Finance and Governors of ASEAN+3 Central Banks, and other relevant meetings in Incheon, Republic of Korea between 1-5 May 2023. The purpose is to discuss the approaches and opportunities for economic and social development cooperation between NEDA and Timor-Leste, one of the neighboring countries under NEDA's operational mission, especially discussing infrastructure development projects in Timor-Leste. Timor-Leste expressed its intention to seek assistance in the development of its educational infrastructure. The government of Timor-Leste focuses on the development of infrastructure which is still in high demand to promote the country's economic and social development, creating a diversified economy and improving the quality of life of the people of Timor-Leste.
