1st ADB-Thailand NEDA Regional-Level Consultation Meeting

On 10th September 2021, Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (Public Organization) (NEDA) and Asian Development Bank: (ADB) hold an online meeting “1st ADB-Thailand NEDA Regional-Level Consultation”. This was the first meeting for executives and policy makers in regional level between both organizations under new Partnership Arrangement between ADB and NEDA signed on 25th May 2021. Mr. Perames Vudthitornetiraks, President of NEDA acted as a head of representatives from NEDA and Mr. Ramesh Subramaniam, Director General of ADB Southeast Asia Department, acted as a head of representatives from ADB.

The meeting primarily aimed to discuss about policy direction and guidelines for development within the region, especially countries under The Greater Mekong Subregion: (GMS), after COVID-19 epidemic (Post COVID-19). Moreover, the discussion was about cooperation guidelines between NEDA and ADB to explore development projects under cooperation fields which both organizations were interested in. Cooperation fields, Public Health, Green Economy Development Support, Support of Energy Security and Support of Connectrity etc.
