NEDA attended 24th Meeting of GMS Subregional Transport Forum: STF – 24

Colonel (Ret.) Saranyu Viriyavejakul, D.Sc., NEDA Vice President attened the 24th Meeting of GMS Subregional Transport Forum: STF – 24 with the main subject titled “Forging Greater Transport Connectivity Toward the Vision of GMS – 2030”. In this regard, Colonel (Ret.) Saranyu presented the progress of The Construction of Stung Bot Border Crossing Facilities (BCF) and Access Road to the National Road No. 5) NR5 (Project in the Kingdom of Cambodia, and Survey and Detail Design of The Construction of Two-Lane Road Connecting Dawei Special Economic Zone to Thailand - Myanmar Border under GMS Economic Corridors. He also presented other financial and academic assistance projects. This meeting was held online via Zoom Cloud Meetings by Asian Development Bank on 21st January 2021.

NEDA Engages AIIB in Strategic Talks on Financial Support for Infrastructure in the Mekong Sub-region
On April 3, 2024, Mr. Perames Vudthitornetiraks, President of the Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (NEDA), and his delegation visited Mr. Jin Liqun, President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) in Beijing, People’’s Republic of China. The visit, at the invitation of the AIIB, aimed to discuss collaborative approaches for financial assistance in developing infrastructure within the Mekong sub-region and to exchange visions for infrastructure development in the area.
