NEDA held a meeting to discuss Potential Pipeline Projects with Ministry of Transport

      On Thursday 10th February 2022, Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (Public Organization) (NEDA) held a meeting on Potential Pipeline Projects, to assist 3 neighboring countries, which are Cambodia, Lao PDR and Myanmar, financially and academically; and introduce Country Strategy 2022-2027, with Ministry of Transport. Mr. Rapipit Promnart, Policy and Planning Bureau Director, was a representative from NEDA to attend a discussion with Mr. Prapatpao Awakul, Director of Foreign Affairs Division, Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Transport.

       The meeting aimed to present Country Strategy 2022-2027 to Ministry of Transport so, the direction of NEDA’s cooperation for development was acknowledged. The discussion was also about plan strategy and direction of Thai Transport System Development including infrastructure and principal development, such as MR-MAP, action plan for ongoing projects. The discussion included NEDA’s strategy and operating guidelines. Policy implementation regarding cooperation for development in neighboring countries was also discussed, as a mechanism to co-operatively support the economic and social development as well as improve people’s quality of life in Greater Mekong Subregion, along with operation which can support value added border trade, cross-border trade, and investment of industrial entrepreneurs in neighboring countries. Multimodal Transport were also considered to prepare for Potential Pipeline Projects, according to Country Strategy 2022-2027, to create concrete achievement and sustainable development.
