NEDA held a meeting to discuss Potential Pipeline Projects with The Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA)

       On Tuesday 11th January 2022, Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (Public Organization) (NEDA) held a meeting on Potential Pipeline Projects, to assist 3 neighboring countries, which are Cambodia, Lao PDR and Myanmar, financially and academically; and introduce Country Strategy 2022-2027, with The Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA). Mr. Rapipit Promnart, Policy and Planning Bureau Director, was a representative from NEDA to attend a discussion with Mr. Tanaset Boonyarestanapong, Director of Business Development Department of PEA through Cisco Webex online meeting. 
       The meeting aimed to present Country Strategy 2022-2027 to PEA so, the direction of NEDA’s cooperation for development was acknowledged. The discussion was also about current situation on international energy and energy connectivity, as well as power distribution supply of Thailand; problems and obstacles regarding energy connectivity, both international technique and policy dimensions between Thailand and neighboring countries; and suggestions towards policy regarding international development cooperation, which was the mechanism driving the country development in the dimension of energy security and stability development; the consideration of Knowledge Sharing promotion and support guidelines, concerning sustainable energy conservation promotion and energy management, for example, knowledge about Solar Floating and Energy Storage. PEA, which is an organization with expertise, integrates operation with NEDA in providing Technical Assistance through training mechanism to increase personnel’s potential in neighboring countries, and determine guidelines to prepare for Potential Pipeline Projects, according to Country Strategy 2022-2027, to create concrete achievement and sustainable development.
