NEDA Discussed with the Department of International Economic Affairs for Potential Projects with Bhutan

On 19th January 2023, Mr. Raphiphat Phrommanarot, the Director of the Policy and Planning Bureau of the Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (NEDA), met Mr. Racha Areephak, the Director of the Division of Economic Relation and Cooperation Promotions of the Department of International Economic Affairs, in order to discuss about the cooperation for the developments in Bhutan under the framework of the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC)as well as the guidelines for NEDA to support/drive the concept of PRO BIMSTEC, which is the main concept of Thailand as the leader of BIMSTEC for the potential projects with Bhutan.

NEDA Engages AIIB in Strategic Talks on Financial Support for Infrastructure in the Mekong Sub-region
On April 3, 2024, Mr. Perames Vudthitornetiraks, President of the Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (NEDA), and his delegation visited Mr. Jin Liqun, President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) in Beijing, People’’s Republic of China. The visit, at the invitation of the AIIB, aimed to discuss collaborative approaches for financial assistance in developing infrastructure within the Mekong sub-region and to exchange visions for infrastructure development in the area.
