NEDA follow-up the progress of Thai-Lao Railway Construction Project survey

Mr. Kirati Veruwan, Vice President of NEDA and Mr. Sengthavisay MALIVANH, Director-
General of Department of Railways, Lao PDR acted as leaders in the survey and follow-up of the
Thai-Lao Railway Construction Project’s progress in phase 2 part 2 and participated in the
meeting to discuss about the construction and the project route survey plans with the group of
officers from the Department of Railways and the representatives from the construction
consulting companies including Asian Engineering Consultants Corp., Ltd. cooperating with Lao
Grobal Engineering Consultant Co., Ltd., Lao Phoenix Consulting Company Limited and Archineer
Associates Survey Design and Consulting Co., Ltd. (AEC company group) as well as the
contractors from Sermsanguan Construction Company Co., Ltd. in Lao PDR on 4 th December
2019.

On April 3, 2024, Mr. Perames Vudthitornetiraks, President of the Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (NEDA), and his delegation visited Mr. Jin Liqun, President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) in Beijing, People’’s Republic of China. The visit, at the invitation of the AIIB, aimed to discuss collaborative approaches for financial assistance in developing infrastructure within the Mekong sub-region and to exchange visions for infrastructure development in the area.
