Online Seminar “Opportunity for Infrastructure Development in Neighboring Countries” under the Cooperation between EXIM Bank and NEDA

On 2nd September 2021, Export-Import Bank of Thailand (EXIM Bank) and Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (NEDA) worked together to hold an online seminar titled “Opportunity for Infrastructure Development in Neighboring Countries”. Dr. Rak Vorrakitpokatorn, Managing Director of EXIM Bank, and Mr. Perames Vudthitornetiraks, President of NEDA acted as chairmen of the seminar.

This seminar was to integrate roles, duties and knowledge of both organizations in order to provide information and knowledge to Thai entrepreneurs who run businesses in construction industry and relevant businesses. It was to strengthen potential to perform work in neighboring countries, as well as benefiting towards making decision and strengthening confidence in expanding business base to Kingdom of Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar and Vietnam.

Mr. Kirati Veruwan, Vice President of NEDA, gave a presentation on economic of neighboring countries and job opportunities in neighboring countries under NEDA’s projects, together with Mr. Anuchit Vitayaburananont, First Vice President of external relations and international office of EXIM Bank who gave a briefing on EXIM Bank’s services to support Thai entrepreneurs. Heads of EXIM Bank Representative Office in CLMV countries i.e., Mr. Chupol Suksaencharoen, Head of Phnaom Penh Representative Office, Ms. Weeranuch Thamsak, Head of Vientiane Representative Office, Mr. Woramin Thawanapha, Head of Yangon Representative Office, and Mr. Chakkrit Piyasirikul, Head of Ho Chi Minh Representative Office also gave an in-depth lecture on business operations in each CLMV country.
