NEDA joins the meeting with the state and private agencies in Mae Sot District, Tak province

At Republic of the Union of Myanmar on 25 November 2019, Senior Colonel Saranyu
Viriyavejakul, D.Sc., Vice President of NEDA and others travelled to join the meeting with the
state and private agencies in Mae Sot District, Tak province which include Mae Sot customs
house, Mae Sot District Office and Tak chamber of Commerce. The meeting aimed to make an
inquiry on Mae Sot District and Tak province development strategies/policies as well as the
benefits of trade, investment and tourism between Thailand-Myanmar which Thailand shall
receive if providing assistance to Myanmar for electrical system improvement project
(transmission line and power station) in Myawaddy (66 kV Line project 50 Miles from 230
Myawady Substation to Sukali (Oakkayeikhta) and 66/11 kV 20 MVA new Substation at Sukali).

On April 3, 2024, Mr. Perames Vudthitornetiraks, President of the Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (NEDA), and his delegation visited Mr. Jin Liqun, President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) in Beijing, People’’s Republic of China. The visit, at the invitation of the AIIB, aimed to discuss collaborative approaches for financial assistance in developing infrastructure within the Mekong sub-region and to exchange visions for infrastructure development in the area.
