On 3 May 2023, Colonel Saranyu Viriyavejkul, Deputy Director of Neighboring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (NEDA), along with representatives consisting of Mr. Rapipit Prommanart, Director of the Policy and Planning Office and Ms. Chakriya Kathaleepan, senior policy and planning analyst and Ms. Monthicha Rakwijitkul, senior project analyst jointly discussed with the Thai delegation led by Mr. Arkhom Termpittayapaisith, Minister of Finance of Thailand, H.E. Phoouthanouphet Saysombath, Deputy Minister of Finance of Lao PDR, and senior officials from the Ministry of Finance of Lao PDR during the 26th Meeting of ASEAN+3 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors. It is part of the 56th Asian Development Bank Council of Governors Annual Meeting in Incheon, Republic of Korea to discuss and follow up on the progress of transport links, such as the construction of the 5th Thai-Lao Friendship Bridge (Bueng Kan - Bolikhamsai), the 6th Thai-Lao Friendship Bridge (Ubon Ratchathani - Salawan), Route No. 12, the policy on electricity trading between the two countries, including fundraising of Lao PDR through the issuance of bonds in Thailand.
