On 25th May 2021, Asian Development Bank (ADB) and Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (Public Organization) (NEDA) held a signing ceremony for the Partnership Arrangement via online platform (Virtual Signing Ceremony for the Partnership Arrangement between ADB and NEDA). Mr. Perames Vudthitornetiraks, President of NEDA acted as a signatory countersigning with Mr. Ramesh Subramaniam, Director General, Southeast Asia Department, ADB. In addition, Mr. Warothai Kosolpisitkul, Executive Director of ADB, along with the representatives from NEDA and ADB witnessed the signing for the Partnership Arrangement. It was to continue the cooperation, in a form of development cooperation partner between ADB and NEDA, from the original Partnership Arrangement which was Expired in October 2020. In new Partnership Arrangement, both parties have determined the cooperation framework to be more open and flexible. It focuses on creating the development cooperation in Greater Mekong Subregion to be more concrete. It also supports NEDA’s objective in improving an organization role to be more acceptable regionally and sub-regionally, on behalf of Thai government’s ongenization to provide development assistance. Furthermore, the determination of the main cooperation field under Partnership Arrangement aims to thoroughly and sustainably encourage security, prosperity and growth of economic and social development in Greater Mekong Subregion.
